All 7/8 students need to report to school at 8:00 to go to the field trip. Parents may stay at school and follow buses or drive on over to Camp Hope at 1069 Old Union Rd, Church Hill, TN 37642. Bring your own lunches and water bottles please. You may also want to bring a chair or even a pop up tent. There will be an icee truck, so you may want a little cash. Also, your child may leave with you at the end of the day, but you must sign them out with a teacher from their homeroom team. We are excited to get to know everyone better and to just enjoy a day with our CHMS family!

If you have not turned in your permission slip, we will still take them through Wednesday. Please note that all students who do not turn in permission to go will have to stay at school for classes. We do have scholarships available, but students MUST have a permission slip signed. Below is our agenda. We are looking forward to a great day with all of our students, staff and parents! What to bring: Backpack with towel or blanket for sitting, water bottle, sunscreen, bug spray, free-time (non-electronic) games such as cards, football, frisbee, etc. Lunch: All students will get a free lunch as our cafeteria staff is going with us! However, if a student wants to bring a lunch or extra snacks, feel free! Cell phones may be kept in backpacks only. There will be a designated time for students to use cell phones to take pictures if they choose. Students must have permission from an adult before using a cell phone. PARENT VOLUNTEERS: Only parents/grandparents on the emergency list in Skyward are allowed to attend. Look at student information above for what to wear or bring. You may sign out your student at camp if you choose. This will not count as a parent note. Please respect the confidentiality of our students and staff. As in any normal day with almost 400 students, there may be times for correction or redirection. We appreciate the extra set of eyes for supervision to redirect students to designated areas or activities, but would prefer that only CHMS staff deal with inappropriate situations. Our purpose of the day is to build relationships between parents, students and staff and to learn more about social and emotional learning. Please introduce yourself and mingle! You are an important component of our CHMS family and we are so glad if you are able to be there!
