District Announcement: Hawkins County Schools will continue to be closed on Thursday, February 5 and Friday, February 6, due to unsafe secondary roads. Although the recent rain and warming temperatures have helped improve some of the road conditions, 80-85% of our secondary routes remain unsafe for bus travel. Due to warming temperatures and sunshine forecast over the weekend and into next week, we aim to open schools and run buses on clear routes beginning Monday. If this plan changes, we will send and post updates. Please refer to the HCS Bus Changes page: https://www.hck12.net/o/hcsd/page/buses for updates to our roads and affected routes.

Change in food choices for Thursday the 29th: Breakfast: Waffles, cereal, yogurt, granola, fruit, and milk. Lunch: Fish Stix’s w/hushpuppy Beef dippers w/Yeast Roll, Leafy Green Salad, Mashed Potatoes, Sweet carrots, Fruit Variety,Juice,1% or fat free milk. Fridays Menu will be the same as online.

Is it just us, or is the air smelling a little bit like... NO SCHOOL? ☃️

We are officially initiating the Great Snow Dance of 2026! It’s time to wear your pajamas inside out, put a spoon under your pillow, and show us your best moves to convince the winter weather we need a break.

🏆 How to Join the Movement:

• The Facebook Challenge: Drop a video or picture of your best/funniest snow dance in the comments below! The video with the most "Likes" and "Haha" reacts wins ultimate bragging rights . Every post will also get rewarded with a Rooms point for their house!

🚨 SNOWPOCALYPSE 2026: DO YOU HAVE THE ESSENTIALS? 🚨

We know the drill: You’ve already cleared the shelves of every gallon of milk and loaf of bread in a 50-mile radius. 🍞🥛 But while your stomach is set, what about your brain?!
